Brighton Hip Hop Festival in 2007

BHHF strives to celebrate and promote all elements of Hip Hop Culture including: Breaking, DJing, Graffiti, Rap/MCing and Beatboxing, once again making it accessible and open to all audiences. Showcasing a broad range of free and ticketed events means that we can bring new audiences to the culture whilst guaranteeing the highest quality in each art.

Fresh Styles Film Festival – Style Wars + Q&A

An evening with the legends of Graffiti in a UK exclusive.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Fresh Styles screens a brand-new cut of the highly influential UK graffiti documentary Style Wars, Plus: an exclusive multimedia presentation/Q&A session with New York’s graffiti legend Blade (a.k.a. ‘King of Graff’) and very special international guests. With unseen footage and stills plus additional excerpts.

Fresh Styles Film Festival – Electro Rock + Bombin + Q&A with UK Hip Hop pioneers.

This exclusive screening revisits seminal films from the first wave of Hip Hop culture in the early 1980s: Richard Gayer’s hugely important 1985 documentary Electro Rock (following the legendary London Hippodrome gig of the year), and Bombin, the first film to document the UK graffiti scene. Plus a unique Q&A session featuring pioneering UK Hip Hop artists Zaki Dee (The Chrome Angels), Hanifa ‘Bubbles’ Hudson (The B-Boys) and very special guests.
